Services

Our specialty is working with Autistic and ADHD clients - from the initial identification process to flourishing in their everyday lives. We work with clients using the neurodiversity-affirming framework.

We believe the best outcomes are achieved for young people when their community works together to support their development and wellbeing.

Counselling

We support children and young people using a variety of approaches including play therapy, expressive therapies, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Treatment plans are designed in collaboration with the client and their family to ensure the plan addresses the presenting need and takes into account individual preferences and interests. We use a range of assessment tools to guide decision-making and treatment planning. This is a dynamic process involving ongoing feedback about the efficacy and sustainability of the plan.

We support referrals relating to:

  • Neurodevelopmental disabilities (e.g. Autism, ADHD)

  • Capacity building (e.g. emotion regulation, organisation skills)

  • Mental health (e.g. anxiety, depression, school refusal)

  • Peer relationships (e.g. social skills, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills)

  • Family support (e.g. coping with change/loss, illness, parenting, conflict)

  • Learning (e.g. motivation, disengagement)

Assessment

We provide psychometric testing to investigate a range of referrals:

  • Learning difficulties including possible Specific Learning Disabilities

  • Intellectual disability

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Gifted and talented

  • Twice exceptionality

Our assessment process involves the following steps:

  1. Gather background information (e.g. developmental history, previous assessments and/or interventions, academic progress).

  2. Agree upon the specific referral question and devise an appropriate assessment plan.

  3. Complete the relevant assessment batteries and/or rating scales (child, parent/carer, teacher).

  4. Feedback of assessment results to parent/carer and nominated school contact, along with recommendations for adjustments and interventions.
